Peter is a Director of Richardsons (formerly ‘Richardsons of Ampthill Ltd’) and joined his father, Vivian Richardson, in business in 1961 as his apprentice.
Peter is a Fellow of the British Horological Institute and a Freeman of the Clockmakers Company, with over 50 years’ experience in repair and restoration.
He specialises in the repair of antique pocket watches, classic jewelled lever wrist and pocket watches including Omega, Longines and Rolex.
Philip is a Director of Richardsons (formerly ‘Richardsons of Ampthill Ltd), joining the business in 1987.
He was educated at Bedford Modern School and the Lausanne Institute in Switzerland which specialises in engineering.
He was trained by his grandfather Vivian and his father Peter in the repair and restoration of clocks and jewellery.
He is a Fellow of the National Association of Goldsmiths and holds a Diploma in Retail Jewellery.
